About Geoff
Geoff Burne - Managing Director
Atlantis was created in 2002 by Geoff Burne with a vision to provide quality dive equipment for recreational divers at more affordable prices, allowing greater accessibility to the underwater world.
Geoff wanted Atlantis to stand out from other dive companies – to be a world-class brand that truly helps divers – an ethos that continues today at all levels of his growing business.
Geoff is passionate about diving and he’s happiest when exploring above or below the Pacific Ocean. He prefers the freedom and challenges of free diving these days but still enjoys getting his scuba gear out for deeper or longer dives.
Geoff’s other passion is competitive tennis and he’s a seasoned player on the ITF senior tour with many achievements in singles and doubles.
Geoff’s been in business for 30 years and owns a number of other successful companies but developing the Atlantis brand remains his greatest fullfilment.
He is married with two children, lives on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand and travels to Australia regularly. Email Geoff now.
